About Amber View Care Home
We are Amber View Care Home, a residential care home in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire. We look after older people who need support with daily living, and we also welcome younger adults whose needs mean that managing alone at home is no longer straightforward. Whatever brings someone to us, our starting point is the same. We want to understand the person first and the care second. A great deal of our work involves dementia, and we have built our routines around it. We keep the house calm and familiar, we give people time rather than rushing them, and we pay attention to the small habits and preferences that make a day feel like their own. We also support residents living with mental health conditions and with physical disabilities, adjusting how we work so that people keep as much independence as they can manage safely. Alongside permanent places we offer respite care, which can give a family carer a proper break or help someone regain confidence after a spell in hospital. Some respite stays turn into longer ones and some do not, and we are comfortable either way. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We are pleased with that and we treat it as a floor rather than a ceiling. If you are considering care for yourself or for someone close to you, please come and see us. Visit at a time that suits you, meet the team and ask us anything you like.
