Here at Aldercar Residential Care Home, we provide a warm and homely environment where the people in our care feel genuinely valued, safe and supported. Based in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, we are proud to offer residential care to a wide range of individuals, and we work hard to make sure that each person who comes through our doors receives the attention and personalised support they deserve. We support older people, those living with dementia, individuals with mental health needs, physical disabilities and visual or hearing impairments. We also welcome younger adults and offer respite care for those who need a short stay, whether that is to recover, to give family carers a much needed break, or simply to try things out before making a longer term decision. Whatever brings someone to us, we treat every individual as exactly that, an individual, with their own history, preferences and ways of doing things. Our team takes the time to get to know the people we support properly. That means understanding not just care needs but personalities, routines, likes and dislikes. We believe that good care is built on real relationships, and we put a great deal of thought into how we can help each person maintain their independence and sense of self as much as possible. We are pleased that our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission resulted in an overall rating of Good, which reflects the genuine effort our whole team puts in day to day. That said, we never see a good rating as a reason to stand still. We are always looking at how we can do better and improve the experience of everyone living and working here.
