About Station Court
Station Court is a residential care home in Ashington, Northumberland. We look after older people who need support with everyday living, along with younger adults whose needs mean that living independently is no longer workable. Much of our work involves dementia. We keep the surroundings calm and familiar, we give people time instead of hurrying them, and we make sure that staff know each resident's background and preferences. Knowing who somebody has been tells you a great deal about how to help them now. We want the house to feel ordinary in the best sense. Residents bring their own things, keep their own routines, decide how to spend the day and see visitors when they like. Meals are planned around what people genuinely want to eat, and there is always somewhere quiet for anyone who prefers their own company. Respite stays are available alongside permanent places, whether for a planned family break or for support while someone builds strength after illness. Families are part of daily life here. We keep relatives informed, welcome them at any reasonable hour, and ask them what they know about the person. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please come and look round at a time that suits you and ask us anything you like.
