About Neva Manor Care Home
Neva Manor Care Home is a residential care home in Weston super Mare, North Somerset, providing care for older people. We do one thing and we try to do it properly. Residential care for older people who can no longer manage at home, in a house where the day belongs to the people living in it. Nobody is woken to suit a rota. Meals are unhurried and worth turning up for. Help with washing and dressing is given in a way that protects a person's dignity, which in practice means asking before acting, explaining what we are doing, and leaving people to do for themselves whatever they still can. Being by the sea helps. A short outing, fresh air, a change of view, all of these matter a good deal more than they are usually given credit for, particularly to people whose world has narrowed since they stopped living independently. We offer respite stays as well as permanent places, whether that is to support somebody through a short period of need or to give a family carer a planned break. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Anyone thinking about a move is welcome to visit and take their time over the decision.
