About Granada House
Granada House is a residential care home in Weston Super Mare, North Somerset. We provide a settled home for older people and for some younger adults, and we also take respite bookings for people who need care for a shorter period. Living here means having your own room, your own routine and your own choices, with support close at hand for the parts of the day that have become harder. That might be washing and dressing, managing medication, getting to and from meals, moving safely around the building, or having somebody nearby through the night. We try to keep the place feeling like a home rather than a unit. Staff know how people take their tea, which chair belongs to whom and who would rather not be spoken to before nine in the morning. Those things sound trivial written down, and they are the difference between living somewhere and being kept somewhere. Being by the coast helps. Getting out, having visitors and keeping up with what is going on locally all matter, and we build that into the week rather than treating it as an extra. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are considering a move for yourself or a relative, come and visit, stay for a cup of tea and see how the place feels.
