About Lancum House
Here at Lancum House, we provide residential care for older people in the heart of Wellingborough, North Northamptonshire. We are a care home that genuinely feels like a home, and that matters enormously to us and to the people who live here. We support older adults with a range of needs, including residential care, dementia care and respite care. Whether someone moves in with us on a short term basis to recover or have a break, or whether Lancum House becomes their long term home, we aim to make sure they feel settled, respected and well looked after from the very first day. Dementia care is something we take seriously. We understand how unsettling it can be for someone living with dementia to adjust to a new environment, so we work hard to create calm, familiar routines and a reassuring atmosphere where residents feel safe and understood. We also take time to get to know each person individually, because good care starts with truly knowing someone. Our respite care gives families peace of mind when they need a break or when circumstances change unexpectedly. We welcome respite residents warmly and make sure they feel part of life at Lancum House during their stay. We are proud that our most recent Care Quality Commission rating is Good, which reflects the everyday effort our team puts into supporting residents with kindness and consistency. We are always looking at how we can do things better, and we welcome feedback from residents and families as a normal part of how we work. If you are considering care for yourself or someone you love, we would be very happy to show you around and have an honest conversation about whether Lancum House might be the right fit. Please do get in touch.
