About Hillside Homes
We provide residential care in Wellingborough for adults with a wide range of needs. The people we support include older people, younger adults, adults with learning disabilities, autistic people, people living with mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities and people with loss of sight or hearing. Supporting that range means paying attention to individuals rather than to categories. Some of the people who live with us need a good deal of help with personal care, medication and mobility. Others need very little of that and a great deal of support with everything else: keeping to arrangements, managing money, getting out, handling the things that cause anxiety and having staff who know when to step in and when to leave well alone. So we start from what somebody wants their life to look like. People keep their own rooms and belongings, have a say in how the house runs and choose how much they join in. Where consistency and routine matter to a person, as they often do for autistic people, we keep staffing as settled as we can and avoid changing things without warning. Respite stays are available as well as longer places, which can give a family a planned break while the person is somewhere properly supported. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall. Please come and visit and ask us whatever you need to.
