About Star Care Lodge
Here at Star Care Lodge, we are proud to offer a warm and welcoming home for the people who live with us in Gillingham, Medway. Our home supports older people, younger adults, and individuals living with mental health needs, and we also provide residential and respite care for those who need a shorter term stay. We understand that choosing a care home is one of the most significant decisions a person and their family can make. That is why we work hard to make sure everyone who walks through our doors feels genuinely at ease. We take time to get to know each person, their preferences, their routines, and the things that matter most to them, so that the support we offer fits around their life rather than the other way around. Our team brings real commitment to the everyday moments that make a difference, whether that is a familiar face at mealtimes, a listening ear on a difficult day, or simply making sure someone feels comfortable and respected in their own space. We believe that good care is built on trust, consistency, and honest communication, both with the people we support and with their loved ones. We are pleased that our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission resulted in an overall rating of good, which reflects the effort our team puts in day to day. We do not see that as a finishing line but as an encouragement to keep listening, keep learning, and keep improving. If you are considering Star Care Lodge for yourself or someone close to you, we would warmly welcome the chance to show you around and answer any questions you might have. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with us.
