About Nene Lodge Retirement Home
Nene Lodge is a residential home in Spalding. We look after older people who need daily care and support, including people living with dementia, and we also support younger adults who need residential care. We try to keep the house running at a human pace. People choose when to get up, what they eat and how they spend their days, and for someone living with dementia that steadiness, along with familiar faces and enough time that nobody is rushed, is a large part of the care itself. Families are welcome whenever they want to come. We also offer respite stays, for a family carer needing a break or for someone recovering after a spell in hospital. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission was requires improvement. We are not going to soften that. We know which parts of our work fell short of the standard the people living here deserve, and we are working through them with our team rather than waiting for the next inspection to point them out again. If you are considering us for a relative, please ask us about it directly and ask to see what has actually changed. You are welcome to visit at any reasonable time, look round on an ordinary day and talk to the people who live here and their families.
