About Herons Lodge
Herons Lodge is a residential care home in Market Harborough supporting younger adults, including people who have a learning disability, autistic people and people living with mental health conditions. It is a home rather than an institution and we work to keep it that way. People have their own rooms arranged as they want them, they have a say in how the house runs and support sits underneath ordinary life rather than taking it over. What we provide differs from person to person. Some need help with personal care, medication and daily routines. Some want practical support with cooking, budgeting, appointments and keeping a home in order. Some are mainly after steady, familiar people nearby while they build confidence and get on with their own plans. For people living with mental health conditions, consistency and staff who stay steady when things are difficult count for a great deal, and we keep close working relationships with community teams and GPs. For the autistic people we support, notice of change and clear communication do most of the work. Respite stays are available alongside permanent places. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please contact us to arrange a visit.
