About Ayeesha-Raj Care Home

We are Ayeesha Raj Care Home, a residential care home in Loughborough, Leicestershire. We support adults with learning disabilities, autistic adults, people living with a mental health condition and people with a physical disability, and we offer respite stays as well as permanent places. The people we support have needs that overlap in ways the categories do not capture. Someone may have a learning disability and a mental health condition and find the physical environment difficult as well, and support that addresses only one of those will not work. So we plan around the person, not the label, and we take the time to find out what actually helps on a good day and on a bad one. Predictability is a large part of it. Knowing what is happening, when, and who with, and having that turn out to be correct, does more for most people here than any amount of reassurance. Where a routine matters to someone, we protect it. Choice runs through the day as far as it can. People decide how they spend their time, and where a decision needs support we provide that support rather than making the decision for them. Families and advocates are involved as much as the person wants. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
