About Ash-lee

Our home in Morecambe supports a mixed group of adults. Some of our residents are older people who need help with the practical parts of the day, including those living with dementia. Others are adults with a learning disability, autistic adults or people with mental health needs, and many are younger adults who want support to run their own lives. Planning for individuals is what makes that work. One person may want help to wash and dress and then to be left in peace. Another may want staff alongside them cooking, going out into the town, getting to an appointment or working through something that has gone wrong. We pay attention to how each person communicates, what they find difficult and what helps them settle, and we build the plan with them and with the people who know them well. For residents living with dementia we keep the house familiar and the staff consistent. For residents with mental health needs a calm, predictable household does more good than anything written down, and we work with local services and doctors. Everyday life includes cooking, shopping, keeping your own room as you want it and getting out for some air by the bay. Respite stays are available. Please contact us if you would like to look round.
