About Chartwell House
Here at Chartwell House, we provide residential care for older people in the heart of Margate, Kent. We are proud to support a wide range of needs under one roof, including dementia care, care for those living with a physical disability, and support for individuals with visual or hearing impairment. We also offer respite care for those who need a short break, whether planned or at short notice. We know that choosing a care home is one of the most significant decisions a family can make, and we do not take that trust lightly. From the moment someone walks through our doors, we want them to feel at ease. Our aim is simple: to make Chartwell House feel like home, not just a place to stay. Our team takes time to get to know each resident as an individual. Their preferences, their routines, their history and the things that make them smile all matter to us. Good care, in our view, is built on genuine relationships, not just meeting physical needs. We work closely with families too, because we believe that staying connected to the people you love is just as important as any other aspect of wellbeing. We were pleased to receive a rating of Good from the Care Quality Commission at our most recent inspection, which reflects the effort our whole team puts in every day. That said, we are always looking at how we can do better and listening to feedback from residents and families is a big part of that. If you are considering care for yourself or a loved one, we would warmly welcome you to come and visit us. A conversation costs nothing, and we are always happy to show you around and answer any questions you might have.
