About Upton House
Here at Upton House, we are a care home based in Deal, Kent, providing residential support for older people in a setting that feels genuinely like home. We care for people living with dementia, those who need permanent residential care, and individuals looking for shorter term respite stays, whether to recover after a hospital admission or to give a family carer some well earned rest. We know that choosing a care home is one of the most significant decisions a family can make, and we do not take that responsibility lightly. From the very first conversation, we try to make the process as straightforward and reassuring as possible. We take time to understand each person as an individual, not just their care needs, but their routines, their preferences, what makes them laugh, and what matters most to them day to day. For those living with dementia, we understand how important familiarity and consistency are. Our approach is calm and unhurried, and we work closely with families to make sure that the people we support feel safe and recognised throughout their time with us. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission resulted in an overall rating of Good, which we are proud of, though we see it as a reflection of the ordinary everyday effort our team brings rather than something to rest on. Deal is a wonderful town, and being part of this community genuinely matters to us. Whether someone is joining us for a short stay or making Upton House their long term home, we want them to feel connected, comfortable, and cared for in the truest sense of the word. If you would like to find out more or come and have a look around, we would always encourage you to get in touch. We are happy to answer any questions at all.
