About Seahaven
Seahaven is a residential care home in Deal. We provide care for older people and also support adults with a learning disability, autistic adults, people with a physical disability, people with visual or hearing impairment and younger adults. Respite stays are available too. Supporting a mixed group under one roof means we cannot run the home to a single pattern, and we do not try. What we aim for is a place where people are taken as they come and where support is built around the individual. Where someone has a physical disability or reduced sight or hearing, we pay attention to the practical details. Equipment that suits the person, a layout that stays predictable, and staff who adapt how they communicate. For residents with a learning disability or who are autistic, the environment itself is part of the support, from noise and lighting to how predictable the day is. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We are not going to talk around that. We know which areas were raised, work is in hand, and we would rather discuss it openly with anyone considering Seahaven than have it come as a surprise. Please visit, ask us directly what has changed, and judge the home on what you see.
