Here is the About Us section for Milestone House: At Milestone House, we provide residential care for adults in the heart of Deal, Kent. Our home supports people with a range of needs, including learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, and visual or hearing impairments. We also offer respite care for those who need short term support, giving families and carers the opportunity to take a break while knowing their loved one is in a familiar, safe environment. We want to be honest with you. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission resulted in an overall rating of inadequate, and we take that seriously. We are not shying away from it. We know there is real work to be done, and we are committed to doing it. Improvements are already under way, and we are working closely with our regulator and our team to make the changes that our residents deserve. What has not changed is our belief that every person who lives here should feel respected, heard, and genuinely at home. We work to understand each resident as an individual, taking the time to learn about their preferences, their routines, and what matters most to them day to day. Deal is a lovely community and we are proud to be part of it. For many of our residents, this is their home in the fullest sense of the word, and we treat it that way. For those joining us on a respite basis, we aim to make the transition as comfortable and welcoming as possible.
