About Beach House
Beach House is a residential care home in Birchington. We support older people needing help with daily living, adults who have a learning disability, autistic adults and people living with mental health conditions. We also support some younger adults. Support here is planned around the individual rather than a house routine everybody has to fit. We find out how somebody likes their day to run, what they eat, whether they want company or quiet and who we should ring when something happens, and we treat that as the substance of the care rather than paperwork. For the autistic people we support, predictability and clear communication do most of the work, so we give notice before anything changes and pay attention to noise and busyness in shared areas. For people living with mental health conditions, consistency and staff who stay steady when things are difficult count for a great deal, and we keep close working relationships with GPs and community teams. Respite stays are available alongside permanent places. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Families across Kent are welcome to visit. Please contact us to arrange a time.
