About Stanborough Lodge
Here at Stanborough Lodge, we provide residential and dementia care for older people in the heart of Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire. Whether someone is joining us for a longer term stay or coming to us for a short respite break, we aim to make sure that every person who walks through our doors feels genuinely at home. We understand that choosing a care home is one of the most significant decisions a family can make, and we do not take that responsibility lightly. Getting to know each resident as an individual is at the centre of everything we do. Their history, their preferences, the things that bring them comfort and the things that make them smile all shape the way we support them day to day. For those living with dementia, we know how important a calm, familiar and consistent environment can be. Our approach focuses on dignity and reassurance, helping residents to feel secure and understood rather than confused or rushed. We work closely with families throughout this journey, keeping communication open and honest. Our respite care gives family carers the chance to rest and recharge, knowing their loved one is being looked after properly in the meantime. Many families tell us that having that breathing space makes a real difference, and we are always glad to play a part in supporting the wider network around each resident. We are proud that our most recent Care Quality Commission inspection rated us as Good, and we see that as a reflection of the genuine effort our whole team puts in each day. We are always looking at how we can do better, and we welcome feedback from residents and their families as part of that process. If you would like to find out more about life at Stanborough Lodge, please do get in touch. We would love to hear from you.
