About Oak Cottage
Oak Cottage is a residential care home in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, and we think of it first as somebody's home and only second as a place where care is delivered. People come to us for the long term and also for shorter respite stays, whether that is to give a family carer a proper break or to allow someone to regain their confidence after a spell in hospital. We support older people and younger adults, including people living with dementia and people who live with a mental health condition. What that support looks like differs from person to person. Some of those who live here need a hand with washing, dressing and medication and little else. Others need patient reassurance through the day, a familiar routine, and staff who notice quickly when something is not quite right.
