About The Knoll
The Knoll is a residential care home in Gloucester. We provide a permanent home for older people and for some younger adults, and we also take respite bookings for people who need care for a shorter spell. Living here means having your own room and your own routine, with support close at hand for the parts of the day that have become difficult. That might be washing and dressing, managing medication, getting to and from meals, or having somebody nearby overnight. A number of the people who live with us are living with dementia, and we shape the day around what makes sense to them: familiar routines, unhurried conversation, and a building they can find their way around. We are not trying to run an institution. Staff know how people take their tea, which chair is whose and who prefers to be left alone in the morning. Those small things are what actually make somewhere feel like home. Families are part of this too. We keep in touch, we say when something has changed, and we welcome visitors without making them feel like they are intruding. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are weighing up options in Gloucester or the wider county, come and see us and form your own view.
