About Matson House
Here at Matson House, we are a residential care home based in Gloucester, Gloucestershire, and we are proud to support a diverse group of people who call our home their own. We specialise in supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism, as well as younger adults who need a little extra help with daily life. We also offer respite care, giving families and carers a much needed break while knowing their loved one is in safe and caring hands. We understand that choosing a care home is one of the most significant decisions a family can make, and we do not take that responsibility lightly. Our team works hard every day to make sure that each person we support feels genuinely at home, respected, and listened to. We believe that good care starts with really knowing the people we support, understanding their routines, their preferences, their personalities, and building trust at a pace that suits them. Life at Matson House is centred around the individual. We work closely with residents, their families, and other professionals to create support that fits around each person rather than asking them to fit around us. Whether someone is with us for a short respite stay or as a longer term resident, we want their time here to be positive, meaningful, and as fulfilling as possible. We are pleased that our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission resulted in an overall rating of Good, which reflects the commitment and consistency our team brings to their work each day. If you would like to find out more about Matson House, or you are considering whether we might be the right fit for someone you care about, please do get in touch. We would always rather have a conversation than leave you with unanswered questions.
