About The Rowans Care Home
The Rowans is a residential care home in Hull, providing a permanent home for adults who need care and support with everyday life. Our care is residential rather than nursing. We help with personal care, medication, meals, mobility and company, and we bring in community health professionals when something more clinical is needed. Many of our residents live with dementia, and we rely on familiar staff, a routine that stays where it is and reassurance given as often as it is needed. We support residents living with mental health conditions, where a settled environment and early attention to changes matter greatly, and we support younger adults, planning their interests and routines on their own terms. Respite stays are available for families needing a planned break. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We would rather set that out here ourselves than have a family come across it later and wonder why we kept quiet. The areas identified are where our effort is going at present. Please visit on an ordinary day, speak to residents and their relatives, and ask us about it directly rather than taking our word for anything.
