Here at Landscore House, we provide residential care for older adults in the heart of Teignmouth, a town we are genuinely proud to call home. Our setting sits within the warmth of Devon, and that sense of community very much shapes the way we work and the atmosphere we try to create every single day. We support people living with dementia, those with physical disabilities, and individuals with visual or hearing impairments, as well as offering respite care for people who need a shorter stay. Whether someone comes to us permanently or for a period of rest and recovery, we want them to feel settled, respected and at ease from the moment they arrive. Our team works hard to get to know each person properly, not just their care needs but the things that matter to them, their routines, their preferences, their history. We believe good care is really about understanding the individual, and that takes time, attention and genuine interest in the people we support. Families are a vital part of that too, and we welcome their involvement at every stage. We were pleased to receive a rating of Good from the Care Quality Commission at our most recent inspection, which reflects the effort our whole team puts in, though we never see that as a reason to stop looking for ways to improve. Teignmouth itself is a lovely part of the world, and wherever possible we encourage connections with the local area, whether that is through visitors, outings or simply enjoying what this corner of Devon has to offer. We think that staying connected to the wider community makes a real difference to wellbeing.
