About Eldra Court
Here at Eldra Court, we are a care home based in the heart of Teignmouth, on the beautiful Devon coast. We support adults with learning disabilities and autism, offering both residential care and respite care to the people who come to live with us or stay for shorter breaks. We know that choosing a care home is one of the most significant decisions a person or their family will ever make. We do not take that lightly. Our aim is straightforward: to make sure each person who comes through our doors feels genuinely at home, respected, and understood. We take time to get to know people properly, because good care only happens when you understand who someone is, not just what their needs are on paper. Our team works hard to support people to live as independently as possible, with as much choice and control over their daily lives as we can give them. Whether that means how someone spends their morning, what they eat, or how they like to be supported, we follow the individual's lead. For those joining us on a respite basis, we put just as much thought into making the stay positive and settled, for the person themselves and for the families and carers who may be taking a much needed break. We are proud that our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission resulted in an overall rating of Good, which reflects the effort and commitment of everyone who works here. Teignmouth itself is a lovely town, and we enjoy being part of the local community. The sea air, the beach, and the surrounding Devon countryside all form a natural backdrop to life here, and we make the most of that whenever we can.
