About Westcliff House
Here at Westcliff House, we offer residential care for adults in the heart of Dawlish, a town we think is genuinely one of the loveliest spots in Devon. The sea air, the friendly community and the unhurried pace of life here all play a part in the wellbeing of the people who live with us, and we would not have it any other way. We support older people, individuals with learning disabilities or autism, people living with mental health needs, and those who come to us for a short respite stay. Every person who walks through our door is different, and we take the time to understand what matters to each individual, what their routines look like, what makes them feel at home, and what kind of support helps them to live as independently and comfortably as possible. Our team has been rated Good by the Care Quality Commission, which reflects the consistent, attentive approach we bring to everything we do here. We are proud of that recognition, though honestly the thing we care most about is hearing from residents and their families that they feel safe, settled and genuinely looked after. Respite care is something we think deserves particular mention. Whether a family carer needs a break or someone simply wants to try residential living before committing to a longer stay, we welcome short term residents with exactly the same warmth and attention as those who live with us permanently. Westcliff House is a real community. Staff know residents by name, know their stories and know what a good day looks like for each person. If you are considering care for yourself or someone you love, we would be very happy to have a conversation and show you around.
