About Barton Lodge
Here at Barton Lodge, we are proud to be a care home at the heart of the Dawlish community in beautiful Devon. We offer residential care, dementia care and respite care for older people, providing a warm and homely environment where residents feel genuinely comfortable and well looked after. We know that choosing a care home is one of the most significant decisions a family can make, and we do not take that trust lightly. From the moment someone steps through our doors, we aim to make them feel at ease. Whether a resident is joining us for a short respite stay or making Barton Lodge their permanent home, we work hard to understand who they are, what matters to them, and how we can best support their day to day life. Our approach to dementia care is thoughtful and person centred. We recognise that living with dementia affects each person differently, and we tailor our support accordingly, always aiming to preserve dignity, independence and a sense of familiarity. We are pleased that our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us as Good, which reflects the genuine commitment of everyone who works here. We are always looking at how we can improve and grow, and we welcome feedback from residents and their families as part of that process. Dawlish is a lovely place to call home, and we feel fortunate to be part of this community. Residents are encouraged to stay connected with the town and the people around them, whether through activities, outings or simply enjoying the fresh Devon air.
