About Littleport Grange
Littleport Grange is a residential care home near Ely in Cambridgeshire. We support older people and younger adults, including people living with dementia, and we take respite guests as well as people moving in permanently. We try to run the place the way a household runs rather than the way an institution does. People decide when to get up and when to go to bed, what they want to eat and how much of the day they want to spend in company. Rooms are personal. Visitors come when they like. If somebody wants to help with the plants or the washing up because that is what they have always done, that is fine by us. Staff here help with washing, dressing, medication, meals and mobility, and they do it without making a performance of it. For people living with dementia, we keep things familiar and unhurried, and we get to know a person's history properly because it is usually the key to understanding what they are asking for. We also support younger adults, whose needs and interests are often quite different from those of our older residents, and we are careful not to let a home for older people become an awkward fit for somebody in their forties or fifties. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Come and see us, meet the team and talk to the people who live here before you decide anything.
