About Red Rocks Nursing Home
Red Rocks Nursing Home is on the Wirral. We provide nursing care for older people and younger adults, and we support people living with dementia, adults with a learning disability or autism, people with physical disabilities and people whose sight or hearing is impaired. Respite stays are available alongside permanent places. With registered nurses on duty at every hour, medication, wound care, continence, epilepsy and other long term conditions are managed here, in close contact with local GPs, community teams and specialists. Where somebody is approaching the end of their life we concentrate on comfort and dignity and on keeping families properly informed. Supporting people of quite different ages and needs under one roof takes care and thought. It means genuinely individual planning and staff who understand that what suits one person may be entirely wrong for another. Where somebody does not use speech we learn how they do communicate and we write it down so that everybody works the same way rather than guessing. For people living with dementia we concentrate on familiarity and time, keeping staff teams consistent and giving people space to be anxious without being hurried along. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Families and professionals are welcome to visit, meet the nursing team and see how the home runs.
