About Lynwood Care Centre
Lynwood Care Centre is a nursing home in Ascot. We support adults who need qualified nursing care alongside everyday support, with registered nurses on duty at all hours so that clinical needs can be met here rather than elsewhere. Most of the people who live with us are older, and many are living with dementia. Our approach is to keep life recognisable. Familiar routines, food people actually like, a garden to get out into, and time given to conversation rather than only to tasks. Where memory is failing, the feeling of a moment lasts long after the detail of it has gone, so we pay attention to tone, patience and warmth. We also support people with physical disabilities and people with sight or hearing loss, adapting how we work so that someone is not left waiting for the world to be explained to them. Younger adults with nursing needs are welcome too, and we recognise that their interests and expectations are their own. Respite stays form part of what we offer. A short stay can give a family carer a proper break, or provide a period of nursing support and recovery after illness or a stay in hospital. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please arrange a visit if you would like to see the home and meet the team.
