About Richmond House
We are a nursing home in Leigh, caring for people who need qualified nursing support alongside help with the everyday parts of life. Nurses are on hand at any hour, so a change in somebody's condition is picked up early rather than allowed to build, and families can set down a level of responsibility that had often become exhausting. Most of the people who live here are older, and we also care for younger adults whose health needs mean nursing care is necessary. We support people living with dementia, where familiar staff and unhurried time matter more than any particular method, and people with a physical disability, working alongside therapists and community health teams so that equipment, positioning and comfort are properly thought out rather than left to chance. Respite stays are available too, whether that is a planned break for a family carer or a period of recovery after illness or a hospital admission. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We keep asking residents and their relatives what could be better, because the most useful feedback rarely arrives on an inspection day. If you would like to visit, meet the team and see how the home runs, please get in touch and we will find a time that suits you.
