About The Poets
Here at The Poets, we are a nursing home based in Worthing, West Sussex, offering a warm and genuinely homely environment for the people who come to live and stay with us. We care for a wide range of individuals, including older people, those living with physical disabilities, people with visual or hearing impairments, and younger adults who require nursing level support. We also offer respite care for those who need a short break from their usual living arrangements, or whose family carers need a period of rest. Our team works hard to get to know each person as an individual, understanding what matters to them, how they like their days to look, and what makes them feel comfortable and at ease. Good nursing care is about far more than clinical support. It is about dignity, familiarity and being treated as a person rather than a patient. That is what we aim to provide every single day. We are pleased that our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission resulted in an overall rating of Good, which we feel reflects the genuine effort our staff put in and the standards we hold ourselves to. We do not take that rating for granted and we are always looking at ways to improve and listen to feedback from residents and their families. Worthing is a lovely part of the world and we think our location adds something meaningful to life here. Whether it is a gentle outing, a familiar view, or simply being close to the people who matter most, that sense of place matters to us too. If you are considering The Poets for yourself or someone you love, we would be very happy to have a conversation and show you around.
