About Wellington Grange
We are Wellington Grange, a nursing home in Chichester, West Sussex. We provide nursing care for older people and for younger adults, and we also welcome people for respite stays. What a nursing home offers that a residential one cannot is clinical care on site at any hour. For the people who live here that means health needs are noticed early and dealt with by staff who know them, rather than by a stranger after a move or an admission. It means someone can stay when their condition changes, and it means end of life care can happen here, among familiar faces, when that is what a person and their family want. The rest of it is ordinary life, and we try hard not to lose sight of that. People keep their own routines, their own belongings and their own opinions. Meals are something to look forward to rather than something that arrives. Visitors are not confined to set hours. Respite guests are assessed and cared for exactly as permanent residents are, whether they are with us for a fortnight after hospital or while a family carer takes a break. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
