About Claremont Lodge Care Home
We are a nursing home in Chichester, caring for people whose needs require qualified nursing alongside help with daily living. We look after older people and younger adults, including people with physical disabilities. Having registered nurses on duty means medication, pain, wounds, continence and the difficulties people have with eating, drinking and moving can be managed properly and without waiting, and that a change in somebody's health is noticed early rather than late. That often makes the difference between a person staying settled here and being sent into hospital. Necessary as the clinical work is, it is not the whole of a life. People here still choose when they get up, what they wear, what they would like to eat and who they want beside them, and we try to make sure the nursing does not crowd those things out. Where somebody is younger and living with a disability, the ordinary business of having a life of their own matters just as much as the care itself. We work closely with general practitioners, community teams, therapists and hospital staff and keep families properly informed. Respite stays are available as well as permanent places. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall. Please come and see us and ask whatever you need to.
