About Oaklodge Nursing Home
We are Oaklodge Nursing Home in Burgess Hill, West Sussex. We provide nursing care for older people, including those with a physical disability, and we also welcome people for respite stays. What a nursing home offers that a residential one cannot is clinical care on site at any hour. For the people who live here that means health needs are noticed early and dealt with by staff who already know them, that somebody can stay when their condition changes rather than moving at the hardest possible moment, and that care at the end of life can happen here among familiar faces. For residents with a physical disability, the difference between good care and poor care is usually time and attention to detail. Enough time that a transfer is unhurried. Equipment set up as it should be. Being asked how something is best done by the person who actually knows, which is the resident. The rest is ordinary living, and we work at not letting the clinical side crowd it out. Own routines, own belongings, meals worth sitting down to, and visitors who do not need to book. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
