About Canning Court Care Home
Canning Court is a nursing home in Stratford upon Avon, Warwickshire. We care for older people who need registered nursing alongside help with daily life, and we also support younger adults whose health needs call for nursing care. A large part of our work is with people living with dementia. Having nurses on duty at every hour allows us to look after people whose needs are genuinely complex: medication, skin and pressure care, continence, nutrition and the steady monitoring that catches changes early. Where someone is approaching the end of their life, it means they can stay here, comfortable and among people who know them. Dementia asks for something other than clinical skill. It asks for a familiar rhythm to the day, surroundings that are easy to make sense of, and staff who go where the person is instead of correcting them. We learn about somebody's working life, their family and their habits, because that is what explains them to us later, when words begin to fail. Stratford is a pleasant place to be, and we help people get out into it and keep hold of what matters to them. Respite and short stays are available, including recovery after hospital. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please arrange a visit and see Canning Court for yourself.
