About Amberley Care Home
Amberley Care Home is a nursing home in Sale, Trafford. We care for older people and younger adults who need nursing support, including people living with dementia, people with physical disabilities and people with visual or hearing impairment. We take respite admissions alongside permanent places. Having qualified nurses on site around the clock means we can look after people whose health needs are complex or changing, manage a good deal here rather than in hospital, and provide care towards the end of life calmly and without rush. Clinical care is only part of the job. What people notice day to day is whether their relative is comfortable, clean, eating well, listened to and answered when they call, and whether the people looking after them know their name and their history. Those are the standards we hold ourselves to. For residents living with dementia we keep the environment calm, routines familiar and staffing as steady as we can manage, and we take time to learn about each person's life so that we can make better sense of what they are telling us when words become difficult. Where somebody has a sensory impairment we adapt how we communicate and keep things where they expect to find them. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Families are welcome at Amberley at any reasonable hour, and we would far rather hear a concern at the time than long afterwards. Please contact us if you would like to look round.
