About Conifers Nursing Home
Conifers Nursing Home is a nursing home in Walsall, caring for older people and younger adults whose health needs call for the support of registered nurses. Because nurses are on duty here at all hours, we can look after people with complex or changing medical needs, and we can often continue caring for someone as their health alters rather than asking them to move again at the worst possible time. We also offer respite stays, which can give a family carer a planned rest or give a person time to regain strength and confidence after a spell in hospital. Nursing care can easily become a list of tasks, and we work hard to keep it from feeling that way. We ask people what time they like to wake, what they enjoy eating, what they can still do for themselves and who they want to see, then we fit the clinical side of things around those answers wherever we safely can. Where a condition is changing we talk honestly with the person and their family about what to expect and what choices remain open to them. Meals are cooked here and requests are taken seriously. Relatives are welcome throughout the day, and we would rather ring you with news, including difficult news, than leave you to find out at your next visit. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are considering Conifers for someone in your family, please come and look round and meet the team.
