About Hilderstone Hall
Hilderstone Hall is a nursing home near Stone, in Staffordshire. We care for adults who need registered nursing as well as help with everyday life, including older people, people living with dementia, people with physical disabilities and younger adults whose health needs call for a nurse on duty at any hour. Being out in the countryside rather than on a busy road matters to a good number of the people who come to us. It means space, quiet and somewhere to sit outside, and those things do more for people than they are usually given credit for. Nursing cover at every hour is the practical reason most people are here. It allows us to manage complex medication, skin and pressure care, continence and nutrition, and to watch health closely enough that changes are caught early. Where somebody is nearing the end of their life, it means comfort and familiar faces rather than a move somewhere strange. For people living with dementia we keep the day in a familiar order and the staff group as consistent as we can, and we take time to learn about a person's earlier life, because it explains so much about how they are now. Respite and short stays are available, including recovery after hospital. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. You are welcome to come and look round Hilderstone Hall.
