About Chasewater Mews
Chasewater Mews is a nursing home in Burntwood, Staffordshire. We provide nursing care for older people whose health needs mean that qualified nurses should be available throughout the day and night. Dementia is central to much of our work, often alongside physical illness or reduced mobility. Caring for both at once takes clinical skill and a great deal of patience. It means noticing pain that someone cannot put into words, keeping the surroundings calm and familiar, and adapting how we communicate as things change rather than carrying on as before. Care is planned with residents and their families. Food, sleep, privacy, company and the ordinary shape of the day belong in that plan alongside medication and observations, and we record the small preferences that make a place feel like someone's own. We work closely with GPs, community nurses, therapists and hospital teams so that treatment is prompt and, wherever possible, nobody has to move. Respite stays are available, whether to give a family carer a planned break or to provide nursing support for a short period after illness or a hospital admission. The Care Quality Commission rated us good at our most recent inspection. Choosing a nursing home is usually done under pressure. Please ring us or call in, and we will show you round and answer your questions plainly.
