About Treeton Grange Nursing Home
Treeton Grange Nursing Home provides nursing care in Treeton, near Sheffield, for older people and for younger adults whose health needs require qualified nurses on site. Having nurses here at all hours changes what we can offer. Conditions can be managed as they change, medicines are reviewed properly, and people who would otherwise face repeated trips to hospital can often be looked after where they already live, among people who know them. Good nursing on its own is not enough, though, and we try never to let clinical care crowd out ordinary life. Residents decide when to get up, what to wear, where to sit and who to spend time with. Families come and go as they please, and we would far rather someone dropped in unannounced than felt they needed an appointment to see a relative. We also offer respite stays. These suit people coming out of hospital who are not quite ready to manage at home, and families who provide care themselves and need a period of rest without worrying about whether their relative is in safe hands. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. What matters more to us day to day is whether people here feel comfortable, properly looked after and listened to, so we ask residents and relatives regularly and we act on what they tell us, including the things that are awkward to hear.
