About The Lodge
The Lodge is a nursing home in the Rotherham area, caring for older people and for adults whose health needs mean qualified nurses need to be available at any hour. That cover means changes in somebody's condition are picked up early and managed here wherever possible rather than through repeated hospital admissions. We support adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, people managing mental health conditions and people living with a physical disability, and we care for younger adults, whose routines and interests we plan for in their own right rather than expecting them to fit an older person's day. The common thread is that nursing care and ordinary life have to sit together. Clinical needs are met properly, but the day still has to belong to the person living it. Respite care is available as well, for people recovering after illness and for family carers who need a proper break. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We treat that as a foundation rather than a finish. The better test is whether people here look comfortable and occupied and whether families feel able to walk in and ask us anything at all. You would be very welcome to come and do so.
