About Yarnton Residential and Nursing Home
We are Yarnton Residential and Nursing Home in Kidlington. We provide both residential and nursing care, which means people can stay with us as their needs change rather than having to move on at an unsettling moment. We care for older people and for younger adults, including people living with dementia, people managing a mental health condition, and people with a physical disability. Qualified nurses are on duty around the clock, so health problems are picked up early by staff who know the person and families are not left wondering about overnight cover. With that breadth of need under one roof, flexibility is essential. Nobody is woken to suit a rota, meals bend around the person, and how somebody spends the day is their own business. What we hold constant is that staff know residents well enough to see when a person is off their food, more withdrawn than usual or simply not right. Dementia care here depends on knowing the individual and working patiently with their history rather than correcting them about the present. Families are kept properly informed, we ring early when concerned, and visitors are welcome whenever they want to come. Respite stays are available alongside permanent places. Our most recent CQC overall rating is good. Please contact us to arrange a visit.
