About Lashbrook House Care Home
Lashbrook House Care Home is a nursing home in Henley on Thames, Oxfordshire. We care for people who need qualified nursing support as part of daily life, with nursing staff available throughout the day and night, so that a change in health does not have to mean another move to another place. We support older people and younger adults, including many living with dementia. Alongside the clinical side of our work, we give close attention to the parts of a day people actually live with. Whether the food is worth looking forward to, whether staff know them properly, whether the house feels calm, and whether they are asked before things are done to them. For people living with dementia we work from life history and familiar routine, and we make sure that knowledge is shared across the whole team rather than left in a file. Getting outside matters here too, and we make the most of where we are whenever the weather allows. Respite care is available as well, whether planned so a family carer can take a proper break or arranged while someone regains strength after a hospital stay. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Families are welcome, and we would rather raise a concern early than explain it later. Please get in touch if you would like to visit.
