About The Langston
The Langston is a nursing home in Chipping Norton, caring for people from across Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds. As a nursing home we have registered nurses on the team around the clock, which means we can support people with substantial health needs and keep supporting them as those needs change rather than asking anyone to move again. We care for older people and younger adults, including many living with dementia and residents with physical disabilities. Respite stays are available alongside permanent places. Our nursing work covers medication, wound care, continence support, help with eating and drinking, careful management of long term conditions and close attention to comfort and skin health. It is detailed work that largely goes unnoticed, and it is what keeps people well. Dementia care here begins with the person rather than the condition. A resident's working life, their family, their habits and what has always settled them guide how we support them, and when someone is distressed we look for the specific cause instead of reaching for a standard answer. For residents with physical disabilities we plan and equip so that reduced mobility does not shrink someone's world, and getting outdoors matters here. The Care Quality Commission rated us good at our most recent inspection. Please come and see us, meet the nursing team and ask us directly how we would care for your relative.
