About The Grand
Here at The Grand in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, we offer nursing home care to a wide range of people, and we take real pride in the community we have built within these walls. We support older people, those living with dementia, people experiencing mental health difficulties, and individuals with physical disabilities. We also welcome younger adults who need nursing level support, and we offer respite stays for those who need a short term break or a chance to recover before returning home. Whatever brings someone to us, we make it our business to understand them as an individual and build their care around their needs and preferences rather than the other way around. Dementia care is an area we give particular thought to. We know how unsettling it can be for a person and their family, and we work hard to create an environment that feels calm, familiar and safe. The same applies across every area of our work. We want people to feel genuinely at home here, not as though they are simply being looked after. Our team is made up of nurses and care staff who bring real skill and genuine warmth to what they do every day. We communicate openly with residents and their loved ones, because we believe that good care depends on good relationships and honest conversations. We are pleased to hold a Good rating from the Care Quality Commission, which reflects the standard we hold ourselves to and the feedback we receive from the people in our care and their families. That said, we never see any rating as a reason to stand still. We are always looking at how we can do better. If you are considering The Grand for yourself or someone you love, we warmly encourage you to come and see us.
