About Elmbank Care Home

Elmbank Care Home is a nursing home in Nottinghamshire. Having qualified nurses on duty means we can care for people whose health needs are beyond what a residential home can safely manage, and it usually means somebody can stay with us as their needs increase rather than facing another move. We care for older people who need nursing support, including many living with dementia and many with physical disabilities, and we also support adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults whose health needs are complex. Respite stays are available for people needing nursing care for a limited period. Clinically, our attention goes where it makes the most difference: medication, skin integrity, nutrition and hydration, pain, safe moving and handling, and acting early when a condition changes. Where somebody has a learning disability or is autistic, we take particular care to learn how they show discomfort or distress, because that is often how a change in health first appears. Beyond the clinical side, this is where people live. Residents keep their own rooms and their own things, choose when to get up and what to eat, and can have company or quiet as they prefer. Families are welcome at any reasonable hour. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please arrange to come and look round.
