About Clipstone House
Clipstone House is a nursing home in Mansfield. Having registered nurses on site changes what we are able to offer, because health needs that would otherwise mean a hospital stay or a move elsewhere can often be met here, in the place someone already calls home. We support older people who need nursing care, and we also support adults with a learning disability or autism, including younger adults, whose care needs sit alongside the rest of their life rather than defining it. That distinction matters to us. Clinical care is delivered properly and carefully, but it is not what the day is about. The day is about breakfast at a decent hour, something to look forward to, people to talk to and a room that feels like the person's own. For anyone with a learning disability or autism, we take time to understand how someone communicates, what they find difficult about new places and people, and what helps them feel in control. Support is agreed with the person, not decided over their head. We also take respite bookings, whether that is planned relief for a family carer or a short recovery stay after time in hospital. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission was good. If you are weighing up nursing care in the Mansfield area, please come and look round. We are happy to answer difficult questions and would rather you asked them now than later.
