About Dolphin View Care Home
Dolphin View in Morpeth provides nursing and personal care for older people and younger adults, including those living with dementia and people whose physical disability means they need skilled help with moving and positioning. Registered nurses are on duty here at all hours, working alongside carers who know the people they look after. Nursing needs including wound care, support with medication, continence care and the monitoring of long term conditions are met on the premises, and we work closely with GPs and community teams so that changes in health are picked up early. Clinical care is the foundation but not the whole of it. People live here and the day needs to hold more than treatment, so we cook meals worth eating, keep rooms personal, make time for company and conversation and get outside when the Northumberland weather allows. For those living with dementia we keep routines predictable and surroundings familiar, and we pay careful attention to signs of pain or distress that somebody cannot put into words. Families are welcome here and we keep them informed as a matter of course. Respite and short stays can be arranged, including for people needing nursing care after a hospital admission.
