About Meadow House Nursing Home
We are Meadow House Nursing Home in Swaffham, Norfolk. We provide nursing care for older people and younger adults, including those with a physical disability, and we take respite stays as well as permanent places. Having qualified nurses on site at every hour is what a nursing home is for. It means a change in somebody's health is noticed by people who know them and acted on straight away. It means a person does not have to move when their condition becomes more complicated. And it means care at the end of life can be given here, with familiar faces around, when that is what somebody and their family want. For residents with a physical disability, the difference between good care and poor care is usually time and attention to detail. Enough time that a transfer is unhurried. Equipment set up as it should be. Being asked how something is best done by the person who actually knows. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is outstanding. We are pleased with it, though what matters more to us is that an inspector's visit should catch an ordinary day here rather than a special one.
