About Dussindale Park
Dussindale Park is a nursing home in Norwich, Norfolk. We care for older people and younger adults who need qualified nursing alongside everyday support, and we do a great deal of work with residents living with dementia. Respite stays are available as well as permanent places. Registered nurses are on site around the clock, which means medication, wound and pressure care and changing health needs are managed here and nobody has to move on each time their condition alters. For families, that continuity is very often the thing they were most worried about. The danger in a nursing home is that clinical work gradually crowds out ordinary living, and we watch for it deliberately. Getting up at your own hour, eating something you actually want, keeping your own belongings around you and having someone sit down beside you rather than stand over you are not extras. For residents living with dementia we keep the daily rhythm steady and the staffing familiar, and we ask families for the life history that helps us reach the person rather than the diagnosis. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
